Volcanic adventure

This is a circuit for lovers of adventure, adrenaline and volcanoes, cultures and colonial views. You will have the opportunity to perform sandboarding, an extreme sport that consists of descending on the slopes of the volcano Cerro Negro with a special board. You will also be able to visit the volcano of Masaya place where it affirms the legend is one of the doors to the hell.

4 nights - 5 days itinerary

DAY 1 ARRIVAL NICARAGUA MANAGUA
- 8 am: reception at the international airport Augusto C. Sandino and transfer to Leon.

DAY 2 LEON TOUR VOLAN CERRO NEGRO
- 8 am. Departure from the hotel for a tour of the Ruins of Leon Viejo and Leon Actual: you will know places like the old locaion of the leon department, leon cathedral, central park, church the calvary, church the collection, national cultural palate, where find the national archive, the national library and the national museum.
- 11 30 Cerro Negro is the youngest volcano in Central America, located in the department of Leon, in addition to being one of the most active volcano in the region. In this part of the tour you can practice sandboarding, before going to the most inclined part to realize the descent of the volcano you can practice inside the crater.
- 3 pm to 6 pm. After descending the volcano you will visit the beautiful Las Peñitas beach, the perfect place to have lunch with a beautiful view of this beach located in the Pacific Ocean. Tour Leon will know places like Leon Cathedral and Central Park
- 8 pm arrival in Managua.

DAY 3 TOUR VOLCAN MASAYA GRANADA
- 9 am: Departure from the hotel for a tour of the Masaya volcano, this is one of the 7 active volcanoes in the country. Its crater has an altitude of 635 above sea level and continuously emits large amounts of dioxyd gas from sulfur, it also maintains a glow inside it due to a lake of persistent lava. is known for one of the 6 gates to hell, product of legends in times of Spanish conquest.
- 11 30: You will be directed to the Artesanias de Masaya market, this is an interesting place to get souvenirs Nicaraguan crafts and enjoy folkloric shows. It is a friendly setting with little locals full of colorids souvenirs ..​
- 1 pm - Transfer to visit Catarina viewpoint: Catarian is a village near Masayacon overlooking the Laguna de Apoyo, it is famous for its majestic view of the lagoon as well as its nurseries. El Mirador de Catarina is one of the highest hills rolling the Laguna de Apoyo and the view from here is very good. You can see the entire lagoon, as well as the lake of Nicaragua that lies behind it, the Mombacho volcano that surrounds the lago is also present in this view.

- 2:30 pm: Departure from the hotel to take a cultural walk through Granada, visit the central park of Granada, the cathedral, the chocolate museum, the San Francisco convent and the old hospital of Granada.

- 4 30pm: Tour of the islets of Granada: The Islets of Granada are considered as one of the most attractive natural paradises of Nicaragua. It is an archipelago of more than 365 islets in the great lake of Nicaragua or Lake Cocibolca, that presumed were formed thousands of years ago by the eruption of a volcano. Traveling on a small boat on the islets is an attractive, fun and relaxed way to travel the narrow channels that separate the islands and appreciate in all its splendor part of the vastness of Lake Nicaragua. DAY 4 SAN JUAN DEL SUR
- 8 am: Transfer from your hotel to San Juan del Sur, This beautiful fishing village is a Nicaraguan jewel, a magnet for surfers and bathers. At night, the beach continues with activity, thanks to popular bars and beach discos.
- 4 pm Return to Granada.
