A party flavored with culture; The music at the rhythm of the night, the Paseo El Carmen in the urban area of San Salvador has been one of the most successful tourism projects in recent years.
The Paseo El Carmen is a project of the municipality of Santa Tecla, originally created on the need to promote the gastronomy and the nightlife to the culture and traditions within the municipality. Named after the historically Catholic Baroque church, is located just a few meters away the center of Santa Tecla.
The Paseo El Carmen consists of several surrounding blocks of the old town, where many bars and restaurants of the surroundings and with different concepts offer the visitor traditional, typical and modern cuisine. But also a selection of restaurants with international cuisine and fast food is available. The street blocks around the church El Carmen are closed on weekends for the traffic. Cultural events are often organized by business associations together with the city administration.
The typical colonial architecture of many Central American cities, such as in the urban area of San Salvador, invite you to dive into the cultural and historical past of the country. In the surroundings, a few blocks away is the park cafetalon, which is used by its inhabitants and visitors as a sports park.
